Actor Chris Pratt is both celebrated and criticized for his faith in Christ.
American actor Chris Pratt is best known for his leading man roles in movies such as The Magnificent Seven, Passengers, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Jurassic World, and more.
He recently came under fire for an interview with talk show host Stephen Colbert in which he discusses a Daniel Fast plan he did with his church. Watch the clip below:
Chris Pratt attends Zoe Church which is modeled after Hillsong Church, a mega church founded in Australia but which has locations in New York City and Los Angeles.
Actress Ellen Page took to Twitter to slam Pratt for attending a church that stands against the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) lifestyles. Page recently married her dance teacher Emma Portner.
My favorite quote from Pratt’s interview is this: “If the spotlight that’s shining on you is greater than the light coming from within you, it can kill you. And you see it all the time. Sometimes just having a self to share is what kills you, because there is nothing left. So you have to have a light to share. A light that’s just as bright as any of these lights. Then you can survive and save some of yourself and not give it all away. It’s true.”
Chris Pratt, keep shining! You are a bright light, and Hollywood and the world need your voice and your vision!
